Ghost Stories: Reading & Writing Under the Covers

Let's read and write about hauntings and spiritual manifestations in their many forms. We will read ghost stories from all over the world and gain an understanding of how culture and world views are closely tied to storytelling. In addition to our reading and writing exercises, each writer will be given the opportunity to have up to 10 written pages of their work critiqued by their workshop cohort. This workshop is in English. Participants should be able to write and discuss in the English language. The workshop textbook (TBA) is included in the workshop fee.

Workshop duration: 8 weeks, 2 hour sessions
When: Wednesdays, 5 August - 23 September/  17:30-19:30
Where: Novell Cafe, Kung Oscars väg 11, 211 42 and via Zoom

We will meet once a week for 8 weeks. Our first workshop will be at the Novell Cafe on Kung Oscars väg 11, 211 42 Malmö, and the rest of our workshops will be held online via Zoom. Complementary coffee (with free refills) and freshly baked pastry will be provided at our first meeting!

For writers who wish to join the workshop but are not in the Malmö area or will not be able to attend our first in-person meeting, you are also welcome to sign-up. An outline of our first meet-up and an introduction to your workshop cohort will be emailed to you after the first workshop has occurred. We can get to know you in our next meeting on Zoom.
